THE Welsh Ambulance Service has introduced new technology which has enabled all of its patient records to go digital. The Trust generates an average 400,000 patient records a year, which traditionally have been captured as handwritten notes. Electronic Patient Clinical Record (ePCR) technology enables crews to capture information on an iPad, reducing paper, improving the accuracy of notes and enabling real-time information to be shared quickly and easily with healthcare partners. Newport-based tax and accountancy specialists Kilsby Williams has appointed five new members to its tax team. The series of appointments, ranging from graduate to managerial roles, sees the tax team grow to its highest number ever. CARDIFF-based aluminium fabricator Dudley’s Aluminium will support the construction of Aston Martin’s new Formula 1 facility at Silverstone. The 400,000 square foot facility will house the Aston Martin team’s design, manufacturing and marketing resource, as well as the team’s first ever wind tunnel and a state-of-the art simulator. Wind tunnels are used in Formula 1 during car development to analyse the efficiency of different components and achieve the right balance aerodynamically. The outlook for the housing market in Wales remains challenging amid a fall in market activity during September, according to the latest RICS UK Residential Market Survey. A net balance of -46% of Welsh respondents to the latest survey reported a fall in new buyer enquiries in September. This is the sixth month in a row in which buyer interest has dropped. Police officers across south Wales have arrested 46 people and safeguarded 24 vulnerable people during a week of targeted action to disrupt county lines. County lines is the name given to drug dealing where organised criminal groups (OCGs) move and supply drugs, usually from cities into smaller towns and rural areas.
