The National Cycle Museum in Llandrindod Wells featured on national television on Tuesday as the popular BBC One series Antiques Road Trip screened an episode filmed during a visit to Wales in March. Antiques expert James Braxton stopped off at the museum to carry out some research on champion cyclist Arthur Linton who was propelled from the coalfields of South Wales to the world stage, winning races in the UK, Europe and America where he set two world records. Cardiff-based software company Method4 has expanded the available Welsh Government Personalised Assessments for school pupils in years 2-9 and is now developing similar software for use by public bodies in the US and Middle East. Method4 works in a consortium to deliver the assessment software and framework in Wales, which was rolled out in 2018. The company provides the online platform for the scheduling and delivery of the assessments, along with the framework for delivering the reports. Wakes Ambulance Service faces a strike vote as GMB Union launches a formal industrial action ballot. Ballot dates will be announced in the coming days. The vote comes following a consultative ballot which saw 90 per cent of GMB’s almost 1,500 WAS members vote in favour of a walk out.
