Cardiff Bus customers are being alerted to route diversions as a result resurfacing work taking place in Cadoxton. Cowbridge Street, Barry will be closed for resurfacing between 09:30 and 15:30 on Thursday 3rd, Friday 4th, Monday 7th and Tuesday 8thMarch, impacting the section of road past the former Three Bells Pub, Cadoxton between Church Road and Bridge Street. As a result, Routes 93, 94 will see diversions towards Cardiff, however journeys towards Barry will be unchanged. Route 95 towards Cardiff and Barry will also be diverted to avoid the road works. Wynne Construction has completed work to extend and improve the teaching environment and facilities at Ysgol Brynffordd including a new extension for the provision of Early Years services at the school. The Bodelwyddan-based construction company were appointed by Flintshire County Council to design and build a £7.1m package of works to expand pre-school provisions within the county. Swansea Building Society has increased the interest rates payable on all its savings accounts, for the second time in just two months. The second interest rate rise has been introduced from March 1, 2022, following a previous increase brought in on January 1, 2022. The building society, with branch offices in Swansea, Mumbles, Carmarthen and Cowbridge, raised its savings account interest rates by 0.15% at the very start of 2022 and has now raised this by a further 0.25%. An Ambleston farming family, who were told fast broadband would never reach their home, are now enjoying ultrafast fibre speeds, thanks to a pioneering Pembrokeshire project. The remote location of Anne and Richard James’ cattle farm led previous engineers to tell them that they could not receive anything other than their slow service along the old copper line. After the disruption of Covid, a record 472 children (previously 300) signed up in 2021 to enjoy the fun introduction to cricket that builds up skills and helps make new friends.
