It comes as similar projects looking ensure collections are relevant to local communities takes place at museums across the UK. Work to install a new path at the Showfield, Blackwood has now been completed thanks to investment by Caerphilly County Borough Council. The path was jointly funded through the council’s Parks budget and Welsh Housing Quality Standard programme; with a total cost of £80,000. Neath Port Talbot Council has successfully bid for funding for a pilot project to support young people with their wellbeing and the progression into employment, education and training.
