Innovative Cardiff Storage Company, blue self storage, has won the European Storage Container Facility of the Year 2021 for its Llanishen site. The award was announced at the Federation of European Self Storage Associations (FEDESSA) Awards, held in Birmingham this week. The FEDESSA Conference & Trade Show is the industry event for all organisations operating within the self storage sector. Groups of youths have been seen climbing onto the Llangollen Pavilion roof, as well as vandalising indoor and outdoor areas of the events venue. Denbighshire Leisure Ltd, who operate Llangollen Pavilion on behalf of Denbighshire County Council , is working with North Wales Police to catch those involved, amid safety concerns and following the number of break-ins at the site this week. Transport for Wales (TfW) has confirmed dates for additional train services it wants to introduce to its timetable across the Wales and Borders route over the next three years. Husband and wife, Rick and Sherri Naylor from Llanfallteg, have organised a two-day country music ‘thank you’ fundraising event to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and the Old Mill Foundation. The event, to be held at the Snooty Fox in Martletwy, Pembrokeshire, takes place over two nights on Friday 1 October and Saturday 2 October. Cardiff and Vale College has an outreach centre at the historic Llanrumney Hall and over the summer holiday period delivered a series a fun activities for all the family. Organised by the College’s Preparation for Work, Life and Learning (PWLL) team, alongside Llanrumney Hall Community Trust – Creatively Yours team and CAVC partner Ministry of Life Education a series of almost 50 sessions were run and engaged with over 730 people of all ages over the six week summer period.
