Catrin Wynne was among local children to come up with names for rooms at the £1.2m Hwb Cymunedol (Community Hub) rural education centre at Coleg Cambria Llysfasi. The number of electric car charging points for public use went up by 9% from 1 October 2021 to 1 January 2022, according to Department for Transport figures. There are now 2,448 more available charging devices across the country. Publicly accessible rapid charging devices increased by 233, a 5% rise in three months. A south Wales valleys boxing club established in 1965 has seen a surge in new members following the refurbishment of its Dan-y-Gaer Road gym in Gelligaer, which it first occupied in 1991. Gelligaer and District Amateur Boxing Club was able to install new jigsaw safety matting thanks to a £1,984 grant from the Postcode Community Trust, a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery. The University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) and Cricket Wales are delighted to announce an exciting partnership to improve cricketing facilities in Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.  The collaboration between both organisations will include the installation of a three bay cricket net at the University Carmarthen campus Sports Centre.
