An intricate silver seal dating back over 300 years that was found in a field in Wrexham during a charity treasure hunt could soon go on display in a museum. The seal would have been used to stamp wax on letters and has pictures of a bouquet of flowers on one side and a bull on the other. It was found by detectorist Paul Davies on farmland owned by the Wrexham-based care organisation, Pendine Park. The seal has now been declared to be treasure and will be offered to Wrexham Museum, where the public would be able to view it.…

Global technology company Healthy.io has launched the first use of its innovative wound care app in Wales, allowing patients to have their wounds assessed and monitored from the comfort of their own home. The eight-month project, currently being rolled out in Swansea Bay University Health Board across Swansea Bay and Neath Port Talbot, is financed by Welsh Government’s Digital Solutions Fund (DSF) that is coordinated by Digital Health Ecosystem Wales (DHEW). The inaugural Cambrian Mountains Food, Drink and Craft Fair has been hailed a great success as visitors from across the UK discovered more than just the Elan Valley reservoirs last weekend. A green era has dawned at Morriston Hospital which has gone live with its own full-scale solar farm. The £5.9 million development, the first in the UK to be directly wired to an acute hospital, is the latest in a series of environmental improvements across Swansea Bay, with more to follow in the months ahead. Commissioning work on the 10,000-panel solar farm at Brynwhillach Farm was completed earlier this month and the electricity began flowing along a 3km private wire to the hospital last week.
