Cardiff Bay was full of festive colour today as hundreds of runners and supporters came together for the annual Calon Hearts Santa Dash. The popular 5K event, which set off from Roald Dahl Plass, brought a lively mix of families, friends and seasoned runners all dressed in bright red Santa t-shirts for a fun day with a serious purpose. Despite a damp start, the rain cleared just in time for the warmup. South Wales Police are investigating after a man reportedly drove a bulldozer into a pub in Rhigos on Thursday night. Officers were called shortly after 8.45pm on December 4 following reports that a bulldozer had been used to damage a pub on Smiths Avenue. The vehicle is also said to have driven over a parked car that was unoccupied at the time. Police believe the event may have been targeted rather than a random act.
