Jack Ashley, owner of JA Plumbing and Heating Services Ltd, has today been announced as the Wales winner of The Plumber Awards 2026.

Taking home first place, Jack received the award in recognition of his technical expertise, commitment to delivering high-quality plumbing and heating systems, and his dedication to continuous training and industry best practice.

Jack’s winning entry detailed a full heating system upgrade and bathroom renovation at a residential property in Cardiff, which was suffering from low water pressure. Following Jack’s work, the home benefited from improved pressure, a more efficient heating system, and enhanced comfort throughout for the homeowners.

Also highly commended in the Wales category is Cardiff-based plumber Zakeer Hafiz of Nova Plumbers Ltd, who was commended for his entry, which saw him completely redesign and install a new piping system and radiators throughout a house.

Commenting on his winning project, Jack Ashley said: “This project stood out as it combined the need for technical knowledge, whilst delivering a real improvement to the customer’s day-to-day experience. By carefully assessing and redesigning the property’s system, I was able to resolve the issue and provide a reliable water supply for the customer.

“To have this recognised is a huge achievement, and is a huge motivator for me to continue delivering the highest standards for all of my customers.”

You can now help Jack to be crowned the National 2026 Plumber Awards winner by visiting The Plumber Awards website and casting your vote.

Voting closes at midnight on 30th April 2026. Public votes will contribute to the plumber’s overall scores, and will be added to the judges’ scores and the scores from a technical challenge set for all of the regional and highly commended winners.

The inaugural awards – brought to the market by the same team as the long-running Heating Installer Awards – celebrate the very best plumbers in the UK, who go above and beyond for their customers and deliver fantastic work, every time.

Winners were selected by a panel of industry experts, professional associations and experienced plumbers during a day-long judging process held at Polypipe Building Products. The judges commented that entries were of an incredibly high standard, setting a high bar in the awards’ first year.

The free-to-enter awards celebrate the best plumbers in the UK and not only give tradespeople the chance to be recognised for their amazing work, but also to win fantastic prizes from sponsors including CT1, Kingsbridge, Polypipe Building Products, Powered Now, the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering and Refresh.

The awards are for plumbers working on domestic projects only, and to be eligible, they must be 18 years old or over and hold an NVQ 2 or 3 in England, Wales and NI or an SNVQ3 only in Scotland as a minimum.

The winners will be announced on 24th June 2026 at InstallerSHOW, taking place at Birmingham NEC.
