Swansea Market has secured the highest possible UK Government energy rating. Its grade A rating confirms that the city centre venue is amongst those buildings that have the lowest carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. A multi-million pound transformation of shopping and community facilities in Llanedeyrn has been completed. The Maelfa Regeneration Scheme has revitalised the local area and delivered a modern, new shopping centre, affordable new homes, better road infrastructure and parking and public realm improvements. Phase 1 was completed in late 2019 and Phase 2 is also now complete. Work to improve the entrance into Village Farm Industrial Estate in Pyle is set to begin on 14 June. The work, which will target the Heol Mostyn junction of the A48, is being carried out ahead of the planned opening of the estate’s all-new community recycling centre later in the year. Recipients are told that there is information missing from their completed Census and asked to click on a link to complete their form or face prosecution. Wales has slipped behind in the roll-out of public charging points to push forward the electric car revolution. Research from the Department for Transport shows Pembrokeshire has the highest number of public charging devices with 96, followed by the Powys with 84.
