Local charities in Wales helped Aldi donate more than 54,000 meals to people in need over the Easter school holidays. The supermarket paired up its stores with local charities, community groups and foodbanks to donate surplus food, prioritising donations to those focused on feeding children. Around 149 tonnes of food were donated throughout the UK, with more than 250,000 meals donated to causes supporting families and children in need. The boost in recruitment has been made possible due to the recent financial support by the Welsh Government.
