More than 2,700 customers filed their Self Assessment tax return on Christmas Day, HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) can reveal. The peak time for completing tax returns was 14:00 to 14:59, with more than 200 customers pressing send on their online form. The Self Assessment deadline is on 31 January 2021. The Outdoor Improvements Covid-19 Recovery Fund targets external areas where customers and members of the public can congregate, rest or be served food and drink. The birthplace of the NHS in Tredegar has been revitalised as a community hub thanks to the Welsh Government’s Transforming Towns programme. The Deputy Minister for Housing and Local Government, Hannah Blythyn welcomed the renovation of Number 10 The Circle. A second COVID-19 vaccine has been given the go-ahead and its roll-out across Wales will start next week, the Health Minister has announced today [30 December]. South Wales Police is continuing to investigate a serious road traffic collision, which occurred on Cowbridge Road West, Ely, Cardiff, shortly before 8.40pm on Monday, December 28. A 31-year-old pedestrian was taken to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, where he remains in a critical condition, after he was in collision with a black Audi Q3. The collision occurred near the junction with Wilson Road, and a section of Cowbridge Road West was subsequently closed in both directions for several hours.
