Newport City Council is collaborating with Ffilm Cymru to offer 15 young people the chance to take part in a fantastic training programme. The project will be open to residents aged 18 to 30 who are not in employment, training or full-time education. Delivered over two days, the Screen Sector training and development programme is hosted by Ffilm Cymru and Foot in the Door. Work on a housing development of the future, to build more than 200 low carbon homes for Cardiff, has begun. Cardiff Council and its partners, Wates Residential, have started construction on the largestdevelopment in the Cardiff Living scheme, that will deliver 214 new properties on the former site of Eastern high school off Newport Road. A new study from findandfundmycar.com has revealed that millennials (17-24) saved on average £104 a month on fuel between March and August – meaning that after 4.4 years of working from home, they’d be able to afford a house deposit for the average UK house*.
