Cardiff People First successfully applied for a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund to keep in touch with people with a learning disability in Cardiff, who are socially isolated as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. Businesses who think they cannot take advantage of the government’s new £2 billion Kickstart training scheme can still take part through a gateway body, says Make UK, the manufacturers’ organisation. The Government Kickstart Scheme will provide funding to employers to create job placements for 16-24 year olds.
