Welsh primary school children put their entrepreneurial flair to the test during lockdown by entering an enterprise competition organised by the UK’s leading enterprise charity and Wales’ largest building society. The Fiver from Home scheme, run by Young Enterprise and funded in Wales by Principality Building Society, ran from June to September and saw over 7,500 pupils from across Wales take part. The family of a man who died following a serious assault at a property in St Mellons have paid tribute to a “gentle, loving” family man. Emergency services were called to the incident on Cypress Crescent shortly after 8pm on Friday (October 16th). A murder investigation is underway following the death of a man at an house in Cardiff. South Wales Police was called to reports of a serious assault at an address in Cypress Crescent, St Mellons, at approximately 8pm on Friday, October 16th. Despite the best efforts of emergency services the victim, a 54-year-old man, died at the scene. A woman was taken to the University Hospital of Wales, where she currently remains, with serious injuries which aren’t believed to life-threatening.
