RCT Council has announced that the Mountain Ash Cross Valley Link will open on Friday, October 16, following the completion of the major construction process by contractor Walters-Sisk. The completion of the major scheme will see the Council delivering on a commitment made to residents in early 2017, providing a new link between the A4059 and B4275 which will improve traffic flow in and around Mountain Ash and the wider A4059 arterial route. Cardiff Council have issued a tender seeking to find an experienced catering operator to run a mobile operation, covering one of three locations at any given time. Work on a major scheme to further protect the A55 against flooding and improve safety is under way, Minister for Transport and North Wales Ken Skates has announced. The Abergwyngregyn to Tai’r Meibion scheme will improve safety along a 2.2km stretch of the carriageway by removing direct accesses off the A55 as well as removing eight gaps in the central reservation which currently allow slow moving agricultural vehicles to cross the A55.
