Health Minister, Vaughan Gething, has today (8 September) announced additional mental health support that anyone in Wales can access when they need to. The package is supported by £1.3m Welsh Government funding and includes a new online Cognitive Behaviour Therapy course and other online and phone support services. Five popular bars in Cardiff centre were served with improvement notices by officers from the Shared Regulatory Service this weekend for failing to comply with Covid-19 health and safety measures set out by Welsh Government. South Wales Police is appealing for witnesses to a single-vehicle road traffic collision, which occurred at approximately 8.05pm yesterday (Monday, September 7), on Wellington Street, Swansea. The collision involved a Scania lorry and a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a 56-year-old local man, was taken to Morriston Hospital with serious injuries, where he later died despite the best efforts of paramedics and hospital staff.
