An Oil 4 Wales filling station in Nantycaws which has been “totally transformed” is nearing completion leading to the creation of vital new jobs in the community. The filling station near Carmarthen, which has been undergoing extensive building and redevelopment works since 2018, is set to be completed in October. Anticipation for the launch of the new site has been mounting, as it will generate jobs, and create a new community hub, shop, and restaurant. A SCHOOLGIRL with a rare neurological condition has inspired the Welsh Ambulance Service to produce a new resource to help children understand what happens if they call 999. Matilda Evans, of Carmarthenshire, has microcephaly, a condition where a baby is born with a small head or the head stops growing after birth. The nine-year-old is a frequent visitor to hospital but previous bad experiences have left her with anxiety about healthcare professionals. Year seven pupils at Lliswerry High School have been asked to self-isolate after a pupil tested positive for Covid-19. Around 185 pupils are affected and steps have been taken to contact parents and carers and ensure pupils can return home safely and appropriately. On site measures are in place to ensure year seven pupils are not in contact with any other pupils while this process is completed.
