A young gull has been rescued after becoming stuck in a tiny, narrow gap between two fences in Bridgend. Heart-warming video footage captures the moments the gull was rescued from the gap, and safely returned to the air from a nearby rooftop. Rescuers from the RSPCA were notified after the distressed gull was spotted stuck in the gap at the Greenwood Close property on Monday 8 June. The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms, following the hottest day of the year so far which saw temperatures reach as high as 30′ degrees in Wales. Thunderstorms may develop across parts of western UK late on Thursday afternoon and into the evening. A larger area of thunderstorms is then expected to move northeastwards overnight into Friday. Many places will miss the worst of the storms but where they do occur torrential downpours could bring 30-40 mm rain in less than two hours. South Wales Police received numerous reports of an explosion at a property in Church Road, Seven Sisters today at 2.05pm. A number of properties and vehicles in the street have been damaged and the area has been evacuated. Three people, one adult and two children, have been injured in the incident. The two injured children have been transported by air ambulance to Southmead Hospital, Bristol and the adult was taken by ambulance to Morriston Hospital, Swansea.
