Michael Iannucci, aged 20, of Barry, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply class A drug –MDMA and two counts of offering to supply MDMA. At Cardiff Crown Court on Friday (Aug 23), he was sentenced to five years and four months in a young offender institution. South Wales Police is appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision which happened in Cardiff city centre last night (Thursday 22nd August). The incident happened in Wood Street shortly before 11.30pm when a man riding a bicycle was in collision with a dark coloured car. The cyclist suffered serious head injuries and is currently in a critical condition at the University Hospital of Wales. A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is in police custody. Newport City Council has secured £1 million to support the redevelopment of empty or underused city centre properties. On Thursday 15 August, train passengers between Swansea and Llandrindod Wells on the Heart of Wales line were provided with life-saving CPR and defibrillator training as part of a pan-Wales initiative. Passengers were informed of life-saving techniques to help someone in the event of an emergency as well as being given a chance to practice on a dummy within the carriages.
