The Red Dragon Centre will be hosting a Balloon Art Fiesta this bank holiday weekend (23-26 August), showcasing spectacular balloon sculptures. The immersive experience will be provided by the award winning and internationally acclaimed Doctor Bob Balloons Unlimited. Wales’ newest motorsport event, the Aberystwyth-based Get Connected Rali Bae Ceredigion on September 8, was formally launched at a seafront media event in the town on Friday. The Ty Hafan Scout Group, which was the first hospice Scout group in the UK, took six Scouts and their families to Miskin Mill Scout Village on Saturday where they stayed until Sunday afternoon. The flight director behind Rhyl Air Show says this year’s event will encourage repeat visits to the town. A Mid Wales distillery, which was the first producer to win the Best British Gin twice, is going for the hat-trick after being shortlisted again for the 2019 award. Fintech scale-up Delio is scaling up sales and marketing internationally after securing £3.3 million in venture capital investment. The global expansion will not only see Delio broaden on an international level, but also locally, creating 15 new jobs at its Cardiff HQ in the process.
