South Wales Police is appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on the A4067, Mumbles Road, Swansea, Saturday, August 24. The collision involving a silver Ford Galaxy and a green Kawasaki motorcycle, happened shortly after 5.20pm. The motorcyclist, a 50-year-old Swansea man, died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by a family liaison officer. The occupants of the Ford were taken to hospital for treatment. Pride Cymru’s Big Weekend delivers its 20th march in the streets of Cardiff in support of the LGBT+ community. Michael Iannucci, aged 20, of Barry, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply class A drug –MDMA and two counts of offering to supply MDMA. At Cardiff Crown Court on Friday (Aug 23), he was sentenced to five years and four months in a young offender institution. Police received a call on April 20, 2019, in relation to concerns for a 16-year-old who was suspected to have taken ecstasy tablets. The teenager was located and taken to hospital for treatment. Pride Cymru will be celebrating their 20th anniversary this year and on grounds of public safety, there will be a full city centre road closure for the parade which will take place between 11am and 1.30pm in the city centre. South Wales Police is appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision which happened in Cardiff city centre last night (Thursday 22nd August). The incident happened in Wood Street shortly before 11.30pm when a man riding a bicycle was in collision with a dark coloured car. The cyclist suffered serious head injuries and is currently in a critical condition at the University Hospital of Wales. A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is in police custody. Phase one of the Welsh Gender Service will be seeing the first patients in September as the Clinic, based in Cardiff, open its doors. The Welsh Gender Team, run by Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, has started to contact Welsh patients who are currently on the London Gender Identity Clinic (GIC) waiting list with the first clinic taking place on 20 September 2019. Newport City Council has secured £1 million to support the redevelopment of empty or underused city centre properties.
