A proposed quadrupling of the rate of VAT on renewable energy systems including solar panels could backfire by putting customers off going ‘green’, a leading energy expert has warned. A creative college learner from the south Wales valleys is set to spend her summer working on the set of a hit Netflix series after impressing industry bosses with her costume creations. The UK arm of a global packaging firm has secured government funding towards a project that will set the world-wide standard on the transportation of batteries. At approximately 15:05 hrs on Tuesday 18th June 2019 a Serious Personal Injury Road Traffic Collision occurred on Bishopston Road Ely Cardiff. A Blue Ford Focus was in collision with Black & orange KTM motorcycle, which was being ridden by an 18 year old local man. The rider suffered life threatening injuries as a result of the collision and is currently at the University of Wales Hospital Cardiff. The driver of the Ford Focus was uninjured in the collision. A North Wales company has been shortlisted for a prestigious world industry award for its innovative biogas plant. Ekogea is in the running for the Anaerobic Digestion and Biogas Industry Awards ‘Best Biogas Plant below 1MWe’. A young farmer in Powys has secured a six-figure finance package from HSBC UK to build a new, mobile free-range egg unit which can house up to 4,000 birds. 24-year-old Aled Jones, farmer at Penrhiw Farm in Llandinam, has grown up on the farm alongside his parents and has always had a passion for farming.
