Food and drink businesses will be among those who can apply to have a place on the Aberystwyth Promenade this summer. The council’s Cabinet approved proposals to tender out parts of the promenade and beach for a trial period during the summer of 2019. South Wales Police are appealing for information and sighting of Taha Deria who has been reported missing. The 32-year-old, who is vulnerable due to his mental health, was last seen leaving his family home in Penarth Road, Grangetown, sometime between 10.30am and 11.30am on Thursday, June 6. Taha, who lives with his parents and siblings, left without any money, medication, mobile phone or any other belongings. Walters Group have been announced as the Principal Contractor for the development of the Brocastle Highway and Infrastructure works, near Bridgend The Economy Minister, Ken Skates, confirmed that the Welsh Government had awarded the contract for the construction of key roads and services on the 116-acre strategic site to Walters.
