A man who died in Glynneath on Monday has been named as 73-year-old David Williams. His family have described him as a ‘loving and generous person’. Mr Williams’ body was found in the Danygraig Lane area of Pontwalby, Glynneath, on Monday, January 27. A 28-year-old local man, arrested on suspicion of murder, remains in police custody. South Wales Police has launched a murder investigation after the discovery of the body of a 73-year-old man in the Danygraig Lane area of Pontwalby, Glynneath on Monday January 27 2020. The Paul Popham Fund, Renal Support Wales, is urging anyone who has been a kidney patient or a carer for a kidney patient to consider joining the charity’s befriender scheme. The Paul Popham Fund aims to improve the lives of kidney patients in Wales, and a key part of that work is done by volunteer befrienders. Doctor Jonathan Burnes has been appointed Programme Director of the Swansea Bay City Deal. Joining from Swansea University, Dr Burnes will be tasked with overseeing delivery of the £1.3 billion investment programme throughout South West Wales.
