To mark No Smoking Day ASH Wales has commissioned Welsh artist, Britain’s Got Talent star Nathan Wyburn, to create a portrait of environmental campaigner Sir David Attenborough made using cigarette butts collected on Welsh beaches. The aim of the portrait, made of butts collected by Keep Wales Tidy, is to highlight the impact of cigarette butts on the environment and the fact that they pollute our oceans and waterways with plastic and toxins. Officers are growing increasingly concerned for Daniel, 56, who was last seen yesterday (Monday 11th March) at 11:15am in the Caewern area of Neath. Five charities in Wales will share a part of the £1.25 million pot to help them make a positive difference to people’s lives in many diverse communities in the country.
