Six people are in custody on suspicion of conspiring to supply Class A drugs following further raids by Tarian, the regional organised crime unit for southern Wales. Warrants were executed at a number of a addresses in Cardiff, Haverfordwest, and Liverpool yesterday morning (Wednesday, February 5), with the assistance of colleagues from South Wales, Dyfed Powys and Merseyside Police. A man and woman, aged 20 and 33 respectively, from Liverpool; two men aged 25 from Cardiff; and two men aged 18 and 19 from Haverfordwest, were arrested. Self-storage specialist, Storage Giant, is planning to double its personnel in light of a series of new site launches due to unfold throughout 2020. The largest private self-storage firm in Wales, which started life as a single unit concern in Newport at the onset of the recession, is now a multi-million turnover business, with nine operational facilities and a further seven sites in its active pipeline. Community campaigners determined to make their town the greenest in Wales are celebrating a National Lottery grant worth almost £10,000 to help tackle climate change. South Denbighshire Community Partnership (SDCP) is one of 30 organisations in Wales to receive a grant from The National Lottery Climate Action Fund worth £9,655 to boost efforts to reduce their carbon footprint and protect the environment. The funding has been invested in 24 solar panels at the Canolfan Ni Centre in Corwen, where the organisation is based, which will collectively offset an estimated 1.7tonnes of CO2 every year.
