Mid Wales Tourism (MWT Cymru) is partnering with creative company Secret Planet on Excalibur, an ambitious production rooted in authentic Welsh mythology that has now entered pre-production and will be filmed in Wales. Transport for Wales (TfW) has reopened Ty Glas railway station following the completion of a major programme of work to modernise the station and enhance safety for passengers and the local community. Two men from Rhondda were jailed on Thursday, April 9, for supplying class A drugs and cannabis. Coran Davies, 23, of Porth, was arrested after officers used retrospective facial recognition technology on an image he’d sent to his drug dealer friend’s phone. The image was of him on a dentist’s chair, having just had treatment for new teeth in Turkey and further messages referenced supplying cocaine and cannabis. A body has been recovered during the search for a missing 17-year-old near Chirk Castle, police have confirmed. Officers from North Wales Police were called to the area after concerns were raised for the teenager, who was reported to have entered the water in a lake near the castle on Wednesday afternoon. Specialist search and rescue teams carried out extensive searches of the area before recovering a body earlier yesterday.
