A team of researchers led by Aberystwyth University is conducting new research into the state of rural enterprise in Wales. Funded by the UK government, the research focuses on how rural businesses are responding to current challenges – from post-pandemic recovery and shifting trade landscapes, to evolving business practices and consumer behaviour. A driver was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and several others were stopped for offences including driving without a licence and defective tyres during a road safety operation held in Holyhead and Bangor this week. A new route has been announced for this year’s Christmas Parade in Swansea. Taking place on Sunday November 23 from 5pm, the parade route will begin at the Guildhall where Santa will illuminate the building with a festive red glow, followed by a fireworks display to mark the start of the parade.
