Leading UK contract electronics manufacturer, Axiom Manufacturing Services, has announced five senior appointments to build on an ongoing trend of sustained turnover growth, underpinned by strategic investment and a strengthening order book.

The South Wales based company, which provides bespoke design, build, and test solutions for clients across the aerospace, defence, medical, and industrial sectors, has confirmed double-digit growth over the past year.

Axiom attributes its success to increased customer acquisition and retention, as well as strategic investment in operations, positioning the electronics manufacturing services provider for a projected turnover exceeding £72 million in the next 12 months.

As part of a wider restructuring of its leadership team, Axiom has appointed Zoe Williams as HR Director, Zac Lenton-Johnson as Business Development Manager, Richard Nathaniel as Operations Manager, Christine Burrows as Materials Manager, and Amber Heard as Head of Planning.

Chris Nye, managing director at Axiom Manufacturing Services, said: “As Axiom’s customer base, investments and turnover continues to grow, it’s vital that we have a leadership team with the capability, vision, and energy to support that growth, both for now and in the future. Today’s appointments represent a deliberate move to build a cohesive, forward-thinking senior team that can align our strategy, empower our people, and deliver for our customers.”

Axiom’s capabilities extend from NPI to printed circuit board assembly, and box build services. This includes providing SMT services for high performance critical systems, guaranteed to operate in the harshest environments.

With a focus on strategic alignment, the latest leadership announcements signal Axiom’s intent to deliver on its growth trajectory. This will be driven by leadership continuity, operational efficiency, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction, as the company positions itself for continued expansion in complex, high-reliability electronics markets.

As HR Director, Zoe Williams oversees all human resources functions across the business, providing managers and employees with expert guidance on policies, procedures, legislation, and best practices. Zoe’s career spans a range of manufacturing environments, including 13 years with Axiom. developing significant expertise in talent management, recruitment coordination, and employee health and wellbeing.

Stepping into the role of Business Development Manager, Zac Lenton-Johnson will lead Axiom’s business development and marketing divisions. A former apprentice with the company, he brings over a decade of experience in contract electronics manufacturing and a deep understanding of customer markets and needs.

With over 25 years’ experience in purchasing and a background in electronic engineering, Christine Burrows takes on the role of Materials Manager. She will lead Axiom’s supply chain strategy, ensuring accurate quoting and seamless integration of new product introductions across material functions.

In his new role as Operations Manager, Richard Nathaniel will oversee the full production cycle, from new product introduction through to final build. Trained in Six Sigma and Green Belt methodologies, he will focus on maintaining build standards and facilitating clear communication between customers and internal teams.

Amber Heard, newly appointed Head of Planning, will coordinate cross-departmental planning activities to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and met. Having progressed through Axiom’s apprenticeship programme, she now plays a key role in aligning production with client expectations and delivery timelines.

Chris Nye continued: “We have created a team with strong execution capabilities and a deep understanding of Axiom’s operations and culture. With their wealth of experience, they’ll bring fresh perspectives, challenge the norm, and carry a real passion for driving meaningful change.  We’re investing in the next generation of Axiom leaders – people who will grow with the business, shape its future, and drive us forward with confidence, clarity, and ambition.”
