Cardiff & Vale Health Charity, the official charity of Cardiff & Vale University Health Board, will host its second Cardiff Bay Bed Push Challenge, taking place on Sunday, May 12.
Doctors, Nurses and Health Board staff will be pushing hard to be crowned winners of the bed push challenge, with prizes also for the most amount raised for Cardiff & Vale Health Charity as well as for the best decorated bed.
Sixteen teams of five will be competing to be the first to make it from one end of the Cardiff Bay Barrage to the other.
Last year’s event saw some fantastically decorated beds and fancy dress – from Thoracic Park, based on the classic dinosaur film, with the staff dressed as T-Rex’s to the Occupational Thera-pets entry where all the bed push team were dressed as animals! The atmosphere was electric, with cheers heard from one side of Cardiff Bay to the other.
Staff taking part will be raising money that goes directly back into their wards, departments and hospitals or to a Health Charity appeal of their choice – The PROP Appeal, The Breast Centre Appeal, The Make It Better Fund, Our Orchard or the Better Life Appeal.
So come along and show your support by cheering them all along from 10am at the Custom House end of the Barrage, look out for the marquee and balloons.
