Global beauty retail giant Sephora has announced it will open its first store in Wales at St David’s Cardiff in Autumn 2025, marking a major milestone in its continued UK expansion.

The new 4,672 sq. ft store will be the brand’s first location outside of England, bringing Sephora’s world-renowned prestige beauty experience to the heart of Cardiff. It follows high demand from Welsh beauty fans and a rapid period of growth for the brand, which entered the UK market in 2022.

The Cardiff flagship will join an expanding line-up of Sephora UK stores, which currently includes locations in London, Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham and Kent, with Liverpool, Sheffield and Manchester Arndale set to open later this year.

Beauty lovers in Cardiff can expect a curated range of exclusive brands, including Makeup by Mario, Haus Labs by Lady Gaga, Topicals, Tower 28, and Merit Beauty, which made its UK retail debut with Sephora earlier this year. Popular global names like Glossier, Rare Beauty, Glow Recipe, Fenty Beauty, and Huda Beauty will also be available, alongside Sephora’s own Sephora Collection, known for high-performance, accessible products across makeup, skincare and haircare.

Speaking on the expansion into Wales, Sarah Boyd, Managing Director of Sephora UK, said:

“Opening our first UK store outside of England is a huge milestone for Sephora, and we’re incredibly excited to be coming to Cardiff! The Welsh beauty community have made it loud and clear that they’ve been waiting for us, and we’re proud to bring one of our beautiful flagship stores to them in St David’s. This store is a direct response to the passion and creativity of the Welsh beauty consumer.”

The new store will also offer customers access to personalised beauty services, including professional makeovers, advanced skincare treatments, and expert brow styling. These bookable services are redeemable, allowing shoppers to use the service value towards the purchase of their favourite products.

Customers will also be able to join MY SEPHORA, the brand’s points-based loyalty programme, offering exclusive rewards, early product access, VIP experiences, and special birthday gifts.

Helen Morgan, Centre Director at St David’s Cardiff, welcomed the announcement:

“Sephora has been a hotly anticipated brand and we’re excited to officially confirm its arrival later this year. We know there’s going to be a lot of love for Sephora as it opens its first Welsh store and joins our great line-up of brands. We can’t wait for opening day.”
