Budweiser Brewing Group in Magor is looking for new recruits

Budweiser Brewing Group (BBG) UK&I’s largest brewery located in Magor is on the lookout for eight new team members to join its Logistics department.

Following the announcement of significant investment in BBG’s breweries, Acorn recruitment, on behalf of the Magor brewery, is now in a position to offer seasonal employment for eight new counterbalance forklift drivers with fast moving consumer goods experience.

The £72million investment at Budweiser’s Magor site includes a new bottling line, eight new fermenting units to increase brewing capacity and efficiency improvements such as better chillers and increased line speeds.

Maria Larcombe, Director of Operations, at Acorn Recruitment said: “It is great to see the hospitality industry slowly bouncing back after the most challenging year and this investment by Budweiser Brewing Group is also great news for the industry as well as the local jobs market.

“Magor Brewery has been a major employer in the area for decades, since it was built by Whitbread in 1979, so it is great to see it being invested in again and that we at Acorn Recruitment can help place new people in new jobs at the site.”

Maria added: “These jobs would initially be temporary, however, with the ongoing investment at the Magor Brewery there may be an opportunity for the positions to become fixed term or permanent in the future.”
