Commercial law firm, Capital Law, has appointed five new lawyers to its 48-strong commercial disputes team.

Capital Law’s commercial disputes lawyers take on diverse work, from high-profile and cross-border claims to investigations, crisis management and debt recovery. The team is renowned for its specialism in the financial services, healthcare, education, and sports sectors, as well as for its intellectual property, public law, and regulatory practice.

David Hudson joins as partner and Panagiota Ketsetzi as associate, while Annabel Morgan, Connor Massey and Holly Mehigan all join as solicitors.

With 22 years’ experience, David is an expert in solving complex claims arising from breach of contract, negligence, sale of goods and services and post mergers & acquisitions work, especially in the financial services, healthcare, manufacturing and public sectors. Previously at Eversheds Sutherland, David also specialises in financial services regulatory investigations, having worked on two of the biggest FCA led remediation projects in the UK in recent years.

Panagiota, who joins from DAS Law Ltd and previously worked at Eversheds Sutherland, is a dual qualified Greek lawyer with considerable experience of acting for both private clients and major financial institutions. Her work has included investigating and handling professional negligence, fraud and dishonesty claims against solicitors, surveyors, brokers, accountants and other professionals involved in the residential lending process.

Annabel, Connor and Holly are recently qualified solicitors. As well as bringing property litigation and lending recovery experience, they will provide general commercial disputes support to the team.

Stephen Meade, who leads Capital Law’s commercial disputes team, said:

“As the number and calibre of the cases we work on continue to increase, we need the very best people joining us. David’s impressive track record in resolving complex, high-value disputes and Panagiota’s expertise in financial services litigation will undoubtably boost our team and help raise our profile nationally and internationally.

“Annabel, Connor, and Holly will also play a key role in supporting the growth of our team, as they continue to build their career. All share our drive and commitment to deliver the best possible outcome for our clients, and we’re really excited to have them on board.”
