Motorists are being warned of overnight closures at M4 Junction 32 Coryton as essential resurfacing work gets under way.
The work will cover a 1.54km section of the Coryton roundabout and will be carried out across 25 nights between Monday, September 7 and Monday, October 12.
Phased carriageway closures will be in place on the roundabout between 8pm and 6am while the work is completed.
Access arrangements have been planned for residential areas and businesses located off the neighbouring roads.
During phases two and three, access to Merthyr Road and Oldfield Road will be available via a diversion through Tongwynlais.
For part of phase one, an alternative route to the A4054 Pendwyallt Road from the south will be provided via Gabalfa Interchange.
Access to and from Longwood Drive will be maintained throughout most of the programme because no alternative route is available.
However, only emergency access will be permitted during the sixth shift, planned for Sunday, September 13, when the outer lanes of the roundabout across Longwood Drive will be resurfaced.
