    Police release e-fit after woman sexually assaulted in Barry

    Detectives investigating a sexual assault in Barry have released an e-fit of the suspect.

    It happened in the Merthyr Dyfan area sometime between 5.30am and 8am on Sunday, July 12.

    A thorough investigation, including CCTV examination and house-to-house enquiries, has been carried out since this worrying incident was reported.

    Detectives are now making a public appeal for information.

    A woman was walking home from a nearby shop when she was assaulted by an unknown man.

    The suspect is described as white, 5ft 4in to 5ft 6in tall, aged in his 20s, of stocky build, with light brown hair and was clean shaven.

    He was holding a can of lager and was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms.

    There have been no further similar incidents reported in the area.

    Anyone who thinks they recognise the suspect or has any information, or footage, is asked to contact South Wales Police quoting 2600222188.
