As the weather gets colder, those looking to get their #festivefeels can head up to City Hall Lawns from 8th November 2019 (today!) until 5th January 2020 – providing visitors with the ultimate winter experience they most definitely won’t forget.

    Admiral ice rink

Opening earlier than ever this year, visitors can make the most of the magical winter event and enjoy old favourites and brand-new attractions such as the Alpine Ice Trail.

The Trail will be an open-air ice-skating experience running 250m long, making it amongst one of the longest Ice Trails in Europe. Best of all, it is included with your ice-skating ticket

Visitors can still expect its usual Admiral ice rink facility – which allows for 300 visitors on the ice during each skating session- but the Trail will allow visitors to explore the majority of the site without taking their skates off…quite literally.

The Alpine Ice Trail isn’t the only new feature you can expect at this year’s Cardiff Winter Wonderland. Utilising Gorsedd Gardens, the event will have its own Christmas tree on display -decorated by local primary school, Coed Glas.

    The Big Wheel

The Big Wheel will also be a new addition to the event this year, with accessible carriages for wheelchair users, as well as returning favourites such as the double-storey ‘Sur La Piste’ bar, serving a variety of drinks in a cosy, festive atmosphere.

Admission to Winter Wonderland is FREE, but tickets must be bought if visitors wish to use the ice rink.

The Admiral ice rink will also include ‘relaxed sessions’ again this year – skating sessions with reduced sound levels, static lighting and decreased capacity to ensure visitors with autism and learning difficulties can still enjoy the facilities during specially selected timeslots.

    Sayers Events and 11th Hour

Cardiff’s Winter Wonderland will once again be run by Sayers Events and 11th Hour – both event specialists across South Wales with an impressive portfolio behind them, including sister event Swansea’s Waterfront Winterland.

Ice skating tickets are expected to sell out fast, so purchase yours now to avoid disappointment: http://www.cardiffswinterwonderland.com/
