On Sunday, December 21 at 12 noon, residents and visitors are invited to one of Swansea’s most iconic landmarks, Oystermouth Castle, for a free community event filled with festive music and seasonal cheer.

Hosted by the award-winning charity group The Friends of Oystermouth Castle, Carols in the Castle promises an afternoon of joyful carol singing in the stunning historic setting of the castle grounds.

Guests can enjoy performances from Mal Pope and Mumbles A Cappella, featuring beloved Christmas songs for all ages. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience the beauty and heritage of the castle while enjoying the spirit of Christmas.

Councillor Elliott King, Cabinet Member for Culture, Human Rights & Equalities at Swansea Council, said: “Carols in the Castle is a cherished festive tradition which I am thrilled to see returning this Christmas, brought to life by the exceptional voices of our local community. I am certain it will be a fantastic afternoon for residents and visitors alike.

“Thanks to the efforts of Friends of Oystermouth Castle, we can enjoy not only the magic of Christmas but also the rich heritage of this historic landmark. Their dedication ensures that Oystermouth Castle remains a vibrant cultural destination for locals and tourists alike. We look forward to building on this success with even more exciting events in 2026.”

Gates open at 11:45am and admission is free, so gather your family and friends and make this festive occasion part of your holiday traditions.
