    Cardiff and Vale College is proud to be Welsh – and as the biggest college in Wales it is looking forward to hosting a wide range of exciting and fun opportunities for all the family at the Eisteddfod.

    Passionate about Wales, CAVC believes in growing opportunities for everyone to speak, learn and live in Welsh. The activities on hand promise fun for all ages and reflect the College’s commitment to Welsh culture.

    Come to the College’s stand in Cardiff Bay and take a photo, either taking part in an activity or using the Welsh language or the fun props on hand. Post it on Twitter or Instagram including @CAVC or @cavcinsta and #SiariadDysguByw and the best post each day will win a £50 St David’s gift card that can be spent in one of 150 stores and restaurants in Cardiff.

    The exciting events will change from day to day – so come visit and come visit often! There will also be activity sheets for young people to map their career aspirations and loads of goodies and information about the College being given away.

    Saturday, 4th August

    Make a badge! CAVC’s core values are Inspirational. Inclusive. Influential. The College wants to make everyone feel inspired and reach their potential.

    Sunday 5th August

    Cycle Challenge – the College encourages all staff and learners to look after the wellbeing, staying physically and mentally fit for the future. Join the College as it cycles the 145 miles from Cardiff to Llanrwst, home of Eisteddfod 2019. Hop on a bike and win a goodie bag!

    Monday 6th August

    Bilingual Storytelling – at CAVC there are Art & Design, Film, Photography, Digital Media, Music, Performing Arts and more! The College promotes bilingualism in learning to increase career opportunities for students, so pop in and listen to one of them tell a short story!

    Tuesday 7th August

    Badge making, selfies and activity sheets – plus great giveaways and information on CAVC. The College would like to see everyone use Welsh socially every day.

    Wednesday 8th August

    Thursday 9th August

    Decorate and eat a Yummy Biscuit! CAVC has an award-winning Hospitality & Catering Department and Welsh speaking members of its staff will bake scrumptious biscuits for you to decorate!

    Friday 10th August

    Lego Robots – improve your digital skills while having fun with these programmable Lego Robots!

    Activity sheets, giveaways and information about Cardiff and Vale College will be available on all days. So will the chance to win £50 by taking the best selfie at the stand – so come along and see the College’s friendly team and have some fun!
