Cenex Expo will take place on Tuesday 22 September and Wednesday 23 September 2026 at ICC Wales, bringing together leading voices from across the road transport decarbonisation and connected automated mobility sectors.

Recognised as the UK’s reference point for future mobility for nearly two decades, Cenex Expo attracts major stakeholders driving innovation, investment and economic growth in the automotive and transport sectors.

This year’s event will focus firmly on growth, with an emphasis on market development and manufacturing scale up. Vehicle electrification remains central to transport decarbonisation and the latest EV technologies will be showcased, alongside advanced manufacturing processes designed to support large scale automotive production.

Clean energy solutions for transport electrification will also be under the spotlight, while the fast approaching commercialisation of driverless vehicles means Connected Automated Mobility will feature updates on policy, technology and market development.

Key enabling technologies including semiconductors, artificial intelligence and cyber security will play a major role at the event, reflecting the ongoing evolution of the mobility sector.

Cenex Expo consistently brings together vehicle manufacturers, OEMs, policymakers, investors, inventors, academics and government officials. Many technologies now in mass production, from EV powertrains to charging infrastructure, were first unveiled at the event.

The 2026 edition at ICC Wales will also shine a light on how the UK automotive sector is responding to the UK Government’s Drive35 programme. In addition to its core focus on automotive innovation, the event will broaden its scope to include advanced manufacturing technologies that support scale up and the development of gigafactories.

Wales will feature prominently, with the Welsh automotive innovation cluster’s strengths in semiconductors and cyber security highlighted. These technologies are seen as vital to the future of mobility, energy infrastructure, connectivity and manufacturing resilience.

Organisers expect strong international interest, helping to promote collaboration and trade while reinforcing the role of both the Welsh Government and Cenex Expo in supporting industrial and economic development.

Across the two days, visitors can attend seminars and discussions covering technology, policy and market transformation, as well as practical advice on securing investment and moving from pilot projects to large scale delivery.

Subsidised public transport travel and accommodation options will be available for exhibitors and guests attending the event.
