Complete Co-packing Services has achieved the highest possible grade in a globally recognised food safety certification scheme. The Rhondda Cynon Taff-based company secured a grade AA in their recent BRCGS Food Safety audit.

Based in Abercynon, Complete Co-packing Services offers contract packing, warehousing and fulfilment on behalf of national and international companies. Having BRCGS certification will ensure the company can guarantee the highest standard of quality and food safety and help them secure additional customers.

Clare Crane, quality and technical manager, said:

“Achieving a AA grade in our very first BRCGS Food Safety audit is a massive achievement for the company. Securing this certification will give our company a vital competitive edge in the market.”

The BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety provides a framework for companies to manage all aspects of product safety, integrity, quality and operational controls. To help secure the certification, Complete Co-packing received technical support from ZERO2FIVE Food Industry Centre at Cardiff Metropolitan University.

Managing director of Complete Co-packing Services, Stephen Nicholls, said:

“Our BRCGS certification will reassure our clients’ customers that the service we provide meets the highest standards of food quality and safety. It’s a tribute to the entire team, to their diligence, commitment and hard work, that we achieved such a grade in our first full audit.”
