Cymru confirm ticket details for 2026 World Cup play offs

Cymru fans are being urged to secure their seats early as the FAW confirms the ticket sales process for the 2026 FIFA World Cup play-off pathway.

Rob Page’s side will face Bosnia and Herzegovina in a crucial semi-final on Thursday 26 March, before meeting either Italy or Northern Ireland on Tuesday 31 March in a play-off final or international challenge match. Both fixtures will take place at the Cardiff City Stadium with a 7.45pm kick off.

The FAW has introduced a new pricing structure for the play-off fixtures, with all profits from international matches now being reinvested into grassroots football across Wales. Inflation has also led to increases in some ticket categories, including the first rise in the cheapest child tickets in more than three decades.

Cymru’s previous play-off matches have sold out at pace, and supporters are encouraged to buy early to avoid missing out.

Ticket sales will open in stages:

Stage 1 – Campaign ticket holders

Seat renewals for 2024 to 25 campaign ticket holders open at midday on Monday 19 January and close at midday on Wednesday 4 February. This window is for seat renewals only.

Stage 2 – Red Wall members

Red Wall adult and junior members can buy tickets from midday on Thursday 5 February until 11.30am on Thursday 12 February. Members can initially buy two tickets each, increasing to four per member from midday on Friday 6 February.

Stage 3 – Supporters with booking history

Ticket sales open at midday on Thursday 12 February for fans who have attended any Cymru men’s match in 2024 or 2025, or any Cymru women’s home match in the same period. This stage helps prevent away supporters from securing seats in home areas. Up to four tickets can be purchased per eligible supporter.

    Club and school kickback scheme

Clubs and schools registered with the FAW’s kickback scheme will receive application forms for both play-off fixtures in the week ending 12 December. A loyalty system will be used to support organisations that have regularly backed Cymru during this campaign. The deadline for applications is 12 January 2026.

Organisations taking part will receive 15 percent back on digital tickets and 10 percent on paper tickets.

If Cymru beat Bosnia and Herzegovina, the second match will be a play-off final. If they lose, it becomes an international challenge match against the loser of the other semi-final. All supporters purchasing tickets commit to their booking regardless of the opposition or match type, and refunds will not be issued based on the semi-final result.

The FAW has also confirmed that the new pricing structure will remain in place for the 2026 to 27 UEFA Nations League and the UEFA EURO 2028 qualifying campaign, excluding friendlies.

Full pricing details are available through the FAW’s official channels.
