Three people have been arrested following dawn raids carried out by South Wales Police as part of an investigation into organised crime in Swansea.

Officers from the Swansea organised crime team, supported by specialist officers, executed three warrants yesterday morning.

A 24-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, both from Mount Pleasant, along with a 49-year-old woman from Townhill, were arrested in connection with organised crime offences.

All three remain in police custody.

South Wales Police said tackling organised crime remains a priority for the force and warned it will continue to pursue those involved in criminal activity.

A spokesperson said: “Tackling organised crime is a priority for South Wales Police and we will continue to be relentless in our pursuit of criminals to protect communities from harm.”

The force is urging anyone with information about organised crime to come forward by contacting police on 101, or anonymously through Crimestoppers online or by calling 0800 555 111.

Anyone witnessing a crime in progress or where there is immediate danger should always call 999.
