Gamers in Newport are set to strike it lucky, as Superbowl UK Newport brings a brand-new SEGA Prize Zone to its Friars Walk location.

Part of a UK-wide agreement with SEGA Amusements International, the move will see £350,000 invested in the Friars Walk location, with some games exclusively available before general release on consoles.

“Amusement and gaming is vital to enhancing our core bowling offer, which means we need to work with suppliers we can trust and rely upon to deliver the very best products and highest levels of service,”

    said Superbowl UK’s Paul Quaintance.

“SEGA Amusements are continually developing new and exciting products and Superbowl UK will be test locations for some of these machines, so guests can experience these games, some six months before anyone else in the UK.”

Titles that will feature at Superbowl UK Newport include Magic Arrow, Air Hockey Ice FX, Daytona and Dream Crane. There will also be a ‘Skill Wall’, which will feature games such as Down the Clown, Hoopla, ICE Ball FX, Sonic Basketball and Whack N Win, with a wide range of prizes to be won.

Simon Pullen, Centre Director at Friars Walk, said:

“The new titles that are coming to Superbowl UK Newport are a fantastic addition to the popular entertainment destination and are going to prove a real hit.

“These exclusive machines are a brilliant feature for the centre and a great addition to our leisure and entertainment offering. It is great to see this kind of investment in the Friars Walk location from Superbowl UK.”
