McArthurGlen Bridgend had a ‘hole’ lot of fun this morning at the launch of the newest Krispy Kreme rocket store – the first of its kind in Wales!

Krispy Kreme Bridgend is now open

To celebrate the launch of the special store, 50 doughnut lovers lined up to get their hands on the retailer’s joy-filled treats.

Amanda Hole is the first in line winning £150 voucher

Jammy enough to be first in line and win themselves a £150 Krispy Kreme voucher at the unique store was Amanda Hole from Pen-y-Coed. Showing her excitement for the new store, Amanda said: “I’m such a huge fan of Krispy Kreme and I am so excited to have Wales’ first ever rocket store in Bridgend! I absolutely couldn’t miss out on visiting on opening day and to be the very first in line makes it even better. I can’t wait to tell everyone about my prize and share my goodies with them!’’

[aoa id=”1″]It wasn’t just Amanda who won Krispy Kreme treats; the second and third in line to visit the store also bagged themselves an extra special reward, and then the first dozen walked away with exclusive Krispy Kreme goodie bags. As well as giving prizes to those in line, Krispy Kreme hosted a joy-filled opening day, which gave shoppers the chance to win mouth-watering doughnuts on its spin-to-win wheel and buzzwire, then treated McArthur Glen’s fashion savvy shoppers to personalised fashion illustrations in the afternoon, drawn by Krispy Kreme’s very own fashion illustrator.[/aoa]

Dough-not worry if you missed out on the opening day fun as Krispy Kreme is bringing back its spin-to-win wheel on the 13th April, which will give shoppers the chance to win fresh, tasty treats between 12pm and 4pm. And if that isn’t enough, Krispy Kreme Bridgend is hosting a ‘decorate your own doughnut’ competition throughout the last week of May, giving fans the chance to win a £50 Krispy Kreme voucher – keep your eyes peeled on Krispy Kreme and McArthurGlen Bridgend’s Facebook throughout May for more details…

Craig Evans, New Store Openings Manager at Krispy Kreme UK, said:

“We’ve had a wonderful morning meeting all of our fans at our new Bridgend rocket store. We’ve been really excited to launch Wales’ first ever Krispy Kreme rocket – it’s great to join the line-up of wonderful retailers at McArthur Glen Bridgend and we look forward to serving sweet treats to all of the customers as they head through our doors.”
