Katie Gritt, Head of Marketing for Sport at Panini commented: “We are excited to launch the first EVER Barclays Women’s Super League Adrenalyn XL Trading Card collection. Our Adrenalyn XL trading cards continue to engage collectors and fans within the men’s game as the most popular trading card in the UK, so to now be able to bring the fun of collecting these to fans of the women’s game is yet another landmark achievement for the growth of the game.  Offering fans new and exciting ways to engage with their favourite clubs and players off the pitch supports the continued growth of the game and we’re extremely proud of the role we play in this.  We can’t wait for the incredible women’s football community to get their hands on this new collection and add to the fun of their match day swapping, alongside the sticker collection!  Everyone will be hunting for those 5, extra special, first ever, Barclays Women’s Super League Golden Ballers!”

Nikki Doucet, Chief Executive of the Women’s Professional Leagues Ltd, added: “This is another exciting collaboration in our partnership with Panini – we have all seen firsthand the huge excitement and demand for the Barclays WSL sticker collection, and so now having our players celebrated in trading card form alongside that is very much another landmark moment for the women’s game.”
