Following the huge success of the free ticket offer to attend Vitality Blast matches at Sophia Gardens during June 2023, Glamorgan Cricket will once again offer free ticket packages for accompanied school groups to watch games at Cardiff during 2024.

    The matches in question are:

    • Thursday, 13 June – Western Storm v The Thunder, starting at 1430.
    • Thursday, 13 June – Glamorgan v Hampshire, starting at 1830.
    • Thursday, 20 June – Glamorgan v Gloucestershire starting at 1830.

The good news is that it will be possible for schools attending the afternoon game on 13 June to stay on and watch the evening match as well – a great opportunity to watch two live games completely free-of-charge!

“The offer went live when schools returned on Monday,” said Andrew Hignell, Glamorgan Cricket’s Education and Heritage Co-ordinator, “and within 24 hours, we had already received requests for over 1,000 tickets. This shows how popular our free ticket package is for accompanied parties from schools and colleges, as well as the opportunity for youngsters to experience a match-day at Sophia Gardens in the all-action white-ball competitions.”

“It’s great that our offer this year includes a double-header with a men’s and women’s game on the same day – many schools have already opted for this fantastic opportunity on the afternoon and evening of 13 June.”

If you would like further information, please send an estimate of the number of tickets you may require to: [email protected].
