South Wales Kia dealers Gravells of Bridgend has swept the board with awards at the marque’s annual celebration of the best.

Each of the award winners were commended for their exceptional efforts over the difficult past twelve months across sales, after sales and customer experience categories.

For the second consecutive year, the overall ‘Dealer of the Year’ award went to Gravells (Bridgend).

In addition to its overall win, Gravells (Bridgend) was named the winner of the After Sales Excellence Award. The dealership was praised for its performance across the key metrics including parts, accessories and service plans.

The awards were announced at a special ‘Kia Together’ event attended by Kia’s dealer partners and Kia UK’s directors in honour of the milestone reached in 2022, when for the first time more than 100,000 cars were sold over the course of the year.

Stimulating this success, the Sportage proved to be Kia’s most popular model, ending the year as the sixth best-selling car across the UK market. The year also saw an all-new Niro launched, Kia’s second best-selling model family, as well as the new XCeed and performance orientated EV6 GT – Kia’s most powerful model ever launched.

Paul Philpott, President and CEO of Kia UK Limited said, “Congratulations to all winners, who each demonstrated exceptional service to our customers and represented our brand with excellence.

“Last year saw us achieve our long-term vision to grow from selling fewer than 30,000 new cars annually 15 years ago, to selling more than 100,000 for the first time in 2022. This is a simply massive achievement.

“We are immensely proud of our dealer partners who have each helped deliver a record market share for Kia last year, as well as continuous innovation in the face of unique challenges, ensuring customers and their communities are always placed at the heart of the business.”
