GS Verde Group has appointed a new non-executive director, James Lewis.

James is an experienced corporate finance and capital markets specialist, with over 25 years of experience derived from roles with major investment banks including Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse, and Big 4 accountancy practices KPMG and Deloitte.

James joins the Board at a time of growth for GS Verde Group and immediately follows the Group’s recent announcement of its successful seven-figure raise and the admission of its shares to the  JP Jenkins secondary market platform. Within GS Verde Group the appointment is seen to mark the beginning of the next step in GS Verde’s Group’s ambitious plans for further growth in 2024.

Commenting on the appointment, Nigel Greenaway, GS Verde Group CEO, said, “We are delighted to welcome James to the GS Verde Group board. James has current expertise in capital markets, the Takeover Code, and IPOs alongside a traditional corporate finance background.  The GS Verde Group is involved in an exciting growth phase, and we have very definite plans to continue this direction of travel.  Having known James for a number of  years, it is a great opportunity now to utilise his  knowledge and expertise within our leadership framework.“

Acting on the recent investment, the GS Verde Group has announced plans to make further senior appointments in the business and will look to leverage strategic acquisitions across the UK, Ireland, and internationally to achieve growth.

James is also looking forward to being part of GS Verde Group’s plans, saying, “Nigel and the team have a lot of fantastic plans for GS Verde Group, both in the short and long term. I hope that my expertise and contacts as an adviser will enable me to assist the board both strategically and operationally.”
