The wait is almost over for Cardiff’s newest entertainment destination, with Hollywood Bowl XL Cardiff at St David’s officially opening its doors on 20 July.
The new venue will become Hollywood Bowl’s second location in the Welsh capital, joining its existing site at the Red Dragon Centre in Cardiff Bay, but will be the company’s first ever XL concept, bringing together multiple entertainment experiences under one roof.

Construction has been progressing rapidly, with newly released images offering a first look at the venue’s electric go karting track as work continues ahead of the grand opening.

Located across two floors at St David’s Cardiff, Hollywood Bowl XL has been designed as a major leisure destination in the heart of the city centre.
One of the biggest attractions will be the company’s first ever electric karting experience, giving visitors the chance to race on a purpose built indoor circuit. Alongside the e karting, the venue will feature 20 ten pin bowling lanes, interactive darts, a live sports bar and a large amusement arcade packed with classic favourites and the latest games.

Guests will also be able to enjoy food and drinks at Hollywood Bowl’s signature diner, with a menu including burgers, hot dogs, milkshakes and cocktails.
The new attraction is expected to create more than 50 jobs across leisure, hospitality and customer service, adding to the city’s growing entertainment offering.
The opening marks a significant expansion for Hollywood Bowl, with the Cardiff venue introducing a new style of multi activity entertainment destination that goes beyond the company’s traditional bowling centres.
The countdown is now on for the official opening on 20 July, when visitors will be able to experience bowling, arcade games, electric go karting, interactive darts and dining all under one roof in Cardiff city centre.
